You can understand why Briza Maxima is also known as Quaking Grass by looking at it.
The unusual seedheads cause the leaves to ripple in a wavelike pattern whenever they are brushed and add a beautiful texture and movement to the garden
A lovely grass that grows upright and has spikelets in the shape of hearts that droop and move gently in the breeze. When the light green of the spikes dries to a golden straw colour, it looks beautiful added to an arrangement of flowers, bringing an air of rural cottage and meadow to any vase.

Sow Seeds: Sow undercover Feb-March into pots or trays. Or sow directly in spring or autumn into finely raked soil. Sprinkle the seeds over and lightly rake the soil to ensure the seed is just covered. Likes full sun and well-drained soil, self-seeds freely.
Plant Out: Plant in a full-sun location for maximum growth and flowering, ensure the soil is well-drained and consider adding grit to the hole base for heavier soils.

I have ordered many seeds from this website, the delivery is reasonable and so are the seeds. I get fantastic germination and am no expert. I have tried other seed companies and nothing compares. This is a very safe bet and one that you won’t regret.

For a small business getting my order within a week is excellent! Ive had amazing rate of germination on every species of seed I’ve sown. The young plants are all healthy and look likely to become healthy adult plants by summer. I’ve interacted with the owner on social media too and can honestly say she’s lovely!

Sowed the Dahlia Seeds last week - (in a suitable Pot on the Kitchen Window Sill - which serves as my greenhouse) the sturdy little Dahlia seeds were through in two days and are looking very healthy and happy! Obviously very fresh seeds in the packet.
The Sanctuary wax melts have a lovely spa fragrance that lasts for ages. Loved them so much I ordered more. I haven't tried the lemon and ginger yet. Excellent quality and service.
