A fabulous cut flower to grow from seed!
Dahlia Bishop's Children is gorgeous; with its dark bronze coloured foliage against the warm, fiery shades of red and pink flowers.
It has large, single flowers with flat petals and stands around 1m tall. They bloom from mid summer until the first frosts and will produce tubers at the end of the first season. You can grow so many dahlias inexpensively if you grow from seed, it's well worth giving a go!

February–April, sow in trays of moist seed compost. Keep the temperature between 20 and 25 °C to ensure seeds germinate quickly. Once the seedlings appear, cover them lightly with a sprinkle of compost or vermiculite. |
