How it unfolds in a room

About this scent

The Mediterranean, in the sense of a fig orchard rather than a holiday brochure. Luscious ripe fig and tart cassis over a grounding base of warm woods and amber.

It is not a sugary fruit scent. It is earthy, green and complex, which is why it works year round where most fruit candles are stuck in one season. The wick is FSC-certified wood rather than cotton, so it crackles gently as it burns. The crackle sounds like dry twigs underfoot in a warm wood.

That earthiness makes it one of the safer choices as a gift, because it reads as sophisticated rather than sweet to almost everyone. Hand-poured in our Norfolk studio, and available in two sizes.

Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep it away from children, pets, draughts and anything that could catch, burn it on a heat-resistant surface, and trim the wooden wick to about 5mm before each light.

The Fruity Match. If you love the fruit notes in Fig & Cassis, try the brighter, zestier Cranberry & Orange for a refreshing lift in the kitchen or during morning hours.

The Warmth Match. If you prefer the woody base notes, this offers a similarly rich, cosy vibe but with a sweeter, smokier finish for the perfect evening atmosphere.
