Common Thyme is a culinary herb that is utilised frequently due to its strong flavour. It is a fundamental component of a great deal of cuisine from the Mediterranean. Thyme, often known as common thyme, is an excellent perennial ground cover. This fragrant hardy perennial will emerge from the winter undamaged and smell wonderful. It will reach a height of around 30 centimetres and produce lilac flowers that are quite delicate over the summer.

Sow April-June into small pots of seed compost. Scatter seed lightly and cover with a light layer of compost. Water gently. Can be very slow to germinate. |
