A graceful and sophisticated deep violet poppy with large bowl-shaped blooms and strong stems

Once the flowers are over, lovely large seed pods will follow which are perfect for adding interest to flower arrangements

A hardy annual, these poppies can be sown April-May or August-September direct into a weed-free flowering site  Poppies do not like being transplanted so thin seedlings out as they germinate.  They like full sun and well-drained, poor soil. If the pods are left on the stems they will happily self-seed.
