The fragrance

How it unfolds in a room

  1. Top Siberian Pine & EucalyptusThe ozone-like crispness of cold winter air; the first scent to fill the room.
  2. Heart Fir Balsam & Green MossThe sweet, sticky resin and damp verdant floor of a pine plantation.
  3. Base Cedarwood, Sandalwood & MuskWarm and grounding; the lingering warmth of a log fire cooling in the grate.

Our tip Our wooden wicks don't just smell good—they sound good. The gentle snapping mimics a real log fire. For the best experience, burn in a quiet room while relaxing with a book.

About this scent

If you have an artificial tree and miss the smell of a real one, this is the fix. It is the resinous scent of a fresh-cut Nordmann Fir: deep, woody and green, with the crispness of cold air, the sticky sap of the needles and the earthy warmth of the forest floor underneath.

What it is not is a chemical pine cleaner, which is where most Christmas candles go wrong. The wick is FSC-certified wood rather than cotton, so it crackles gently as it burns. With a fir scent that crackle does a lot of work, because it sounds like a miniature log fire and the two together make a room feel festive faster than either would alone.

Poured by hand in our Norfolk studio in a sustainable soy wax blend. Available in two sizes.

Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep it away from children, pets, draughts and anything that could catch, burn it on a heat-resistant surface, and trim the wooden wick to about 5mm before each light.

The Festive Classic. Pine and Citrus are the quintessential smell of Christmas. We recommend burning 'Christmas Tree' in the lounge and 'Cranberry & Orange' in the hallway for a full sensory welcome.

The Sweet Balance. If the pine scent feels too "outdoorsy," balance the air with the warm, bakery sweetness of Gingerbread in the kitchen.
