Siam Queen Thai Basil is a variety with red stems and vibrant red flower heads, Siam Queen boasts a distinct anise flavour highly sought after in Thai cuisine. Its vibrant flowers are suitable for decorating salads and curries for an extra touch of colour.
A short-lived annual that is sensitive to frost, basil does well in pots. It can be sown any time from late spring to summer in a tunnel, greenhouse, conservatory or on a sunny windowsill.
Has the most amazing aroma when the leaves are crushed or torn.

Sow seeds 0.5cm deep into small trays of seed compost, and cover with a sprinkling of seed compost/vermiculite. Keep at a temperature of 15-25℃. Alternatively, sow outside from late May to early July. Prick out seedlings into individual pots when large enough. Do not overwater. Basil hates sitting in wet compost |
