Attractive, flattened, purple topped roots with a white base. Quick maturing, in under 7 weeks from sowing, during the summer. Delicious and tender as ‘baby roots’ for salads and as a cooked vegetable. The leaves can be steamed as ‘turnip top greens’.

– Sow seeds thinly March to August 12mm deep and rows should be spaced 15cm apart
– Water often in dry weather
– Thin as required as they are fast-growing
– Turnips can be harvested at any size during the growing season
