Kale Nero di Toscana – 100 Seeds
£2.00
An attractive, dark green leafed kale. It is an excellent winter/ early spring crop for the vegetable kitchen garden when fresh produce is scarce.
Pick the leaves when young and tender to put into a mixed leaf salad to add a peppery taste. Otherwise, begin to harvest after the first frosts for improved flavour. Kale is a versatile vegetable that can be steamed, boiled and made into soups and stews.
Sow Mar-April undercover in individual modules to plant out in May or sow direct in May-June. Net to protect from butterflies and keep in full sun or semi-shade.
