- Sow mid April undercover
- Sow thinly onto the surface of compost and keep somewhere light and warm
- Transfer seeds when large enough to handle into pots and grow on in a sheltered spot or cold frame
- Plant out when all risk of frost has passed

- Can also be sown in the autumn for earlier flowers the following spring
